A Chicago Couple In The Big Easy
Michelle & I grew up in the Chicagoland area surrounded by Italian beef joints, pasta dishes, & every birthday or graduation party catered by mostaccioli, Italian sausage, & Italian beef. I grew up making Italian sausage since I was about five years old & spent Sundays cooking with my grandma Annette while the guys watched football.
We took a trip to New Orleans in 2015 we were immediately enthralled with the culture, the food, the street life, & the history. We saw similarities in the active street life, love of sharing food & drink with friends & family, the historical neighborhoods & bustling city center. We came home & began exploring our culinary love for Chicago style Italian food & the cajun/creole mix of Louisiana cooking.
